SPCA: Silver, Storm, Rock Painting & Barbecue

SPCA: Silver, Storm, Rock Painting & Barbecue

Posted: Updated:

The Jefferson County SPCA is hosting a kid-friendly community event and fundraiser this weekend.

Executive director Heather Spezzano and her daughter, Arianna, talked about the event -- and also brought along two kittens.

Silver and Storm are about 8 weeks old and will be available for adoption Wednesday. They need to have their operations Tuesday.

They can be adopted separately or together.

This weekend the SPCA will host a rock-painting, chicken barbecue, and vendor event.

It will be at the main shelter on Water Street in Watertown from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 9.

Watertown Rocks will be on hand so kids can paint rocks and leave them in the shelter's rock gardens.

When other kids visit the shelter they can take the rocks and hide them in the community for someone else to find.
