The Watertown Rapids host their second home game of the season Tuesday night.

The collegiate league baseball team started the season with a pair of wins before losing on the road Sunday night.

After a day off Monday, they're ready to face the Utica Blue Sox on their home diamond at the Alex Duffy Fairgrounds.

The Rapids opened their home schedule Saturday in front of 1,200 fans with a 5-0 win over Utica.

"Our home opener was great, we had a great outing on the mound for Matt Valin," Coach Dave Anderson said, "and the bullpen did their jobs and our bats came alive again."

"We were thrilled with the turnout, just over 1,200 people there, more than we expected, which was great," general manager Brandon Noble said. "Great atmosphere, interaction with fans on the field and it was great to have our team put up a 5-0 win and top it off with fireworks."
