The American Heart Association held its annual Heroes of Heart celebration Tuesday night to recognize Heart Walk participants, volunteer leaders, and heart disease and stroke survivors.
The celebration was at the Hilton Garden Inn in Watertown.
Watertown Police Officer William Rafferty was honored with the Heartsaver Hero Award. He saved a 6 week old baby using CPR.
"Officer Rafferty performed CPR and kept him alive, and got him to the hospital, and look who's here tonight -- it's really because of officer Rafferty," the American Heart Association's Kristy Smorol said. "And that's why we give out this type of award. We want to highlight those kinds of stories where it happens the way it should.
"It's overwhelming," Rafferty said. "I'm not necessarily for the spotlight of things."
7 News' Cindy Habeeb was master of ceremonies at the event.
