7 News honored its All-Stars Thursday night.

They're north country students who excel at academics, arts, and sports. They've been featured throughout the school year both on-air and on this website.

One student from each discipline left with a $1,000 scholarship.

Sponsors and parents were proud,

"As a parent, it's nice to see these events happen for our students, whether its academic or athletic or arts," Lisa Lowe said, "because we see our kids work so hard."

"Mel's (Busler) been doing Athlete of the Week for a very long time," said John Morgia from sponsor Watertown Savings Bank. "We're happy to be a part of it -- the kids work hard on and off the field. We're happy to be a part of it."

7 News is proud to feature the Academic All-Star, Athlete of the Week, and Arts All-Star segments. The students represent the best of the north country.

About 300 people attended this year's ceremony at the Hilton Garden Inn in Watertown.
