John C. Kingsley, 74, of Massena

Massena: John C. Kingsley, age 74, entered into the eternal rest on Saturday May 26, 2018 at the St. Regis Nursing Home, Massena where he had been a resident from 2017. Upon the deceased’s request, there will be no public calling hours or services. The family has entrusted arrangements to the Phillips Memorial Home, Massena.

John was born to the late Charles and Nadine (Floyd) Kingsley on November 19, 1943 in Malone, NY. He attended St. Joseph’s Academy and graduated from that institution. John was married to Linda Briggs on July 12, 1967 at St. Joseph's Church in Massena with the Rev. Joseph Doud presiding. Linda predeceased John on February 20, 2010.

John was employed at ALCOA and retired as a shop clerk after 32 years of service.  John was an avid golfer, playing for many years at the Massena Country Club.  He was also an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing in the North Country.

John is survived by his son, Philip, and daughter-in-law Dr. Michelle Reyzer of Nashville, TN; his brother, Thomas Kingsley of Chicago, IL; two granddaughters, Madeline and Eleanor, and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be shared with the Lupus Foundation of America (www.lupus.org).
