One person was charged after Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies said he drove without a license and caused a crash.

It happened on Route 12 in the town of Pamelia Saturday afternoon.

The department said Peter LaGrow Jr. was driving a mini van when he hit the back of a truck that was turning out of the southbound lane on Route 12.

The two people in the truck were taken to Samaritan with non-life threatening injuries.

Another car swerved off the road to avoid the accident.

LaGrow Jr. was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, second degree, and ticketed for following too closely.

He was arrested, arraigned in town of Brownville court and then sent to the Jefferson County Jail.

He has since been released on bail of $750.
