Contractors renovating Ogdensburg’s Mosaic Building at 102 Ford Street ruptured a natural gas line Thursday morning.

It happened just before 7:30 a.m.

Firefighters blocked off the large parking lot on the north side of the building and Enbridge St. Lawrence Gas had the leak stopped within a half hour, according to the Ogdensburg Fire Department.

Ogdensburg rescuers and police also responded to the scene.

The building is in the downtown mall that is immediately west of State Street.
