Fort Drum Hosts Mountainfest Next Week

Posted: Updated:

It's Fort Drum's annual Mountainfest celebration and you're invited.

Fort Drum public affairs director Julie Halpin and and Fort Drum Police Chief Todd Julian talked about it on 7 News This Morning. You can see their interview in the video.

Mountainfest starts at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20. The gates open at 12:30 p.m.

The annual Salute to the Nation is at 4 p.m. A concert featuring David Lee Murphy and Chris Janson starts at 5 p.m.

There will be fireworks after the concert.

There are some things you can't take with you: alcohol, coolers, glass bottles, weapons of any kind, and no pets besides services animals.

Medical and maternity bags will be allowed, but they have to be searched.

People without Department of Defense identification have to enter the post at the Lewis Avenue gate off State Route 26.
