JCC Offers Summer Workshops for AdultsPosted: Updated:
It may be summer, but Jefferson Community College is still busy thanks in part to workshops for adults.
Kathleen Morris, director of community services at JCC, appeared on 7 News at Noon on Friday to discuss different opportunities. Click on the picture to watch her interview.
New this year is a 3-day photography tour of Wellesley Island State Park, Tibbetts Point Lighthouse, and Indian River Lakes Preserves. Participants have the option to meet the class each morning or embark on an overnight stay in the college’s on-campus housing facility, East Hall.
There's also an Introduction to Sailing workshop offered aboard 32’ sloop, Eudaimonia. The first 30-minutes of the workshop consists of dockside instruction with the remaining 2-hours spent on the lake.
Jefferson workshops are designed to help improve small business operation, prepare individuals with the skills they need to earn professional credentials, fortify their resume and advance their careers, and a world of lifelong learning, discovery and exploration. Workshops are held on JCC’s campus, online and at various community locations.
Registration deadline is 5 days prior to the workshop start date.
