Rapids Face Key Games In Division Title Run

Posted: Updated:

The Watertown Rapids are in second place in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League Central Division with some important games coming up this week.

Five and a half games separate the four teams in the division.

Only a half game behind Mohawk Valley, the Rapids find themselves in a dog fight for the Central Division lead.

The Rapids have two big home dates Thursday and Friday. They face Utica for a single game Thursday and play a doubleheader Friday against Mohawk Valley.

Between the regular college season and the summer league, the players have played a great deal of baseball.

That makes Coach David Anderson's job even more important.

You can hear the coach's comments in the video.

Watertown hosts Utica at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Alex Duffy Fairgrounds.
