Canton Company Fined After Worker's Death

Posted: Updated:

A Canton company has been cited for multiple workplace safety violations following an employee's death.

Atlantic Testing Laboratories faces $46,564 in fines.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration found nine safety violations at a workshop in March.

It investigated the death of 33 year old Justin Miller of Potsdam.

Miller died when a tire blew off a rim. The company has met with OSHA to discuss a settlement.

It has until Wednesday to reach one or contest the fines.

Atlantic Testing Laboratories has not responded to our requests for comment.
