A Baton Rouge, Louisiana man is going to prison for six years after he admitted to traveling to Watertown to have sex with an underage teen and then taking the teen to the West Coast for over a year.
U.S. Department of Justice officials say 22 year old Iordan Bossev admitted he communicated with a then-14 year old over the internet in 2015, when he was 19.
He admitted he had sex with the victim when he came to Watertown in May 2015 after the two sent sexually explicit messages back and forth for about two months.
He traveled back to Watertown in November that same year and took the victim with him to California after first taking a bus to New York City.
From November 2015 to December 2016, Bossev and the victim lived together in San Francisco, Seattle, Washington, and Portland, Oregon.
Bossev will be under supervised release after his prison term and will have to register as a sex offender.
He will also have to pay $10,000 in restitution to the victim and a $5,400 special assessment.
