Showing Off the Original "Horsepower" at Plow Days
A chance to see how farmers harvest using the original type of horse power.
St. Lawrence Valley Draft Horse Club's annual Plow Days was held over the weekend.
With plenty of plows and tractors on site, families came in to witness how people farm without the use of modern technology. Organizers said that when it comes to the workload, farming with horses is a partnership.
"The horses are actually our partners in this. People think of them as just a mode of power, but they become our friends," said Tom Daly, a St. Lawrence Valley Draft Horse Club member.
Plow Days is among many of the club's events that include sleigh rides and the wagon train.
