Democratic congressional candidate Tedra Cobb is gearing up her campaign with about a month to go before the November 6 election.
Cobb celebrated the opening of a campaign office in downtown Watertown on Tuesday.
The former St. Lawrence County lawmaker says she's raised over $700,000 this last quarter and most of that money came from supporters either within the district or in other parts of New York state.
The Democrat says she's thankful for the people who are helping her campaign.
"I know and I love the people in this district, because I, like you, share the same hopes and challenges," Cobb said. "I am not an outsider -- I am a northern New York insider."
Cobb and Green Party candidate D. Lynn Khan are challenging Republican incumbent Elise Stefanik.
