Indian River Can't Break Carrier Dome Habit

Posted: Updated:

Indian River has made a habit in recent years of traveling to Syracuse's Carrier Dome for a Section 3 football final and they're set to make a return trip this year.

The Warriors have been to the sectional final five of the last six years, winning the title in 2014.

There were plenty of question marks to begin the season, but an undefeated record shows those questions were answered.

"The kids really stepped up," Coach Cory Marsell said. "They worked hard throughout the season, so we're very proud of that."

You can hear more of what he has to say in the video, along with players Kwazsi Gaddis and Nathan Mills.

Standing in the Warriors' way is Carthage. The two north country teams meet for the Class A championship at 8 p.m. Friday.
