Posted: Updated:

It's Election Day and voters have big decisions to make.

The polls opened at 6 a.m. across New York. The picture is from a live shot shortly after polls opened at the Church of the Nazarene in Watertown.

Turnout is expected to be heavy for a midterm election. That's what elections are called when they're midway through a presidential term.

Polls are open until 9 p.m.

If you need last-minute cramming to decide, we have a list of resources of where you can learn more and a quick rundown of key races.

7 News will have result as soon as they're available. We'll have CBS national coverage starting at 9 p.m. and we'll scroll the latest local results on the bottom of your screen.

We'll have live coverage from both the congressional and state assembly races at 10 p.m. on our sister station, WNYF, You North Country Fox, and at 11 p.m. on WWNY.

You can find WNYF on Spectrum cable channel 2 or on channel 28 on most other sources.

You can also find results on this websites. They'll be posted as soon as they come in.
