A 31 year old homeless man is accused of robbing a Watertown convenience store.

City police charged Matthew McMahon with third-degree robbery, fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree harassment and petit larceny.

According to police, McMahon shoved a female clerk at LeRay Street Market Monday evening and stole cash and merchandise.

He's also accused of breaking a glass jar of merchandise during the robbery.

Police said they arrested McMahon a short time later on West Lynde Street.

McMahon was arraigned in city court and is being held in the Jefferson County Jail on $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond.
