19 Votes Separate Ogdensburg Judge Hopefuls

There's a north country judge race that's too close to call.

Only 19 votes separate two candidates in the the race for Ogdensburg City Court judge.

Incumbent Republican Gary Alford leads with 1316 votes, or 53.6 percent.

Democratic challenger Marcia LeMay trails with 49.6 percent of the vote at 1,297.

As of Wednesday morning, St. Lawrence County board of elections officials report 183 absentee ballots have been received so far, but more could come in.

The deadline for nonmilitary ballots is November 13. For military absentees, the deadline is November 19.

Board of elections officials say they plan to start tallying the absentee votes next Wednesday.
