Local Habitat for Humanity Has New Leader

Posted: Updated:

The Thousand Islands Area Habitat for Humanity has a new leader.

Amanda LeDesma took over as executive director Wednesday.

LeDesma has been serving on the board for the last year and a half and has more than 16 years of leadership experience in the finance industry.

"We want to get more families into houses, we also just opened our ReStore in August so we're still getting that ramped up. We're looking for volunteers here all the time, donations, people to come and help out," she said.

LeDesma takes over for JoAnne Fassinger, who served as interim executive director after Brian Drappo resigned in July.
