Volunteers Needed To Take Veterans To Medical Appointments

Posted: Updated:

The Disabled American Veterans Volunteer Transportation Network is looking for drivers in the Watertown area.

The group would like more volunteers to take veterans to their medical appointments at the Syracuse VA Medical Center and its affiliated clinics. You don't have to be a veteran to apply.

"The only requirements that we really have are that they have a valid driver's license, they can pass a basic physical, no alcohol related incidents on their license within the past 72 months," said Edward Rogers, recruitment liaison.

If you would like to volunteer call Bill Gleason at 315-425-4343 or Edward Rogers at 315-425-4353.
