Man Accused Of Injuring Woman In Domestic Dispute

Posted: Updated:

A town of Watertown man allegedly shoved a woman to the floor during a domestic dispute, causing a cut to her face that required stitches.

Jefferson County sheriff's deputies say the victim hit her face on a windowsill and needed three stitches after 23 year old Sidney Porter allegedly shoved her.

Deputies say Porter also allegedly took her cell phone, valued at around $1,000. The cell phone had not been recovered and the victim was unable to call for help.

Porter was charged with third-degree assault and fourth-degree grand larceny.

He was arraigned on the charges in Watertown town court Thursday morning and released after posting $500 bail.
