Fishcap Report, Week of July 10 - 17


Lake Ontario

Find king salmon in 130-feet of water north of Stony Island. Northern king spoons are hot. Big lake trout, 13- to 18-pounders, at same depth with salmon; use cowbells and spoons.

Raquette River

Mixed bag of walleye, bass and pike in impoundments between Tupper Lake and Colton. Trolling most popular method using shallow to medium running crank baits.

St. Lawrence County Rivers

Lots of muskies being caught in Grasse, Oswegatchie, and St. Regis rivers, by casting shorelines with big frog baits. Muskies in Oswegatchie as far up as Rensselaer Falls.
