Residents and staff at United Helpers Nursing Home recently celebrated the 51st anniversary of Hawaii’s statehood (August 21, 1959) with a facility wide luau. Each floor was decorated in a Hawaiian theme and every resident and staff member received a lei. Lunch consisted of coconut shrimp, grilled salmon with lemon slices, long grain wild rice, spinach and greens with raspberry vinaigrette, huli huli chicken, aloha noodles, vegetable stir fry, and Hawaiian cake.
