During High School I was given the opportunity to play the Caterpillar in a Broadway version of Alice in Wonderland. A few years later I now have the opportunity to relive that Epic story, this time as the electric Mad Hatter. I chose to base my costume off of the Johnny Depp version in the 2010 Alice in Wonderland. The face make-up alone took 90 min. The waist down, gloves and wig were scrounged, while the jacket, shirt, tie, and hat were purchased. However, I believe the makeup is where the costumes magic lies. I won the costume contest at my company and had a blast showing off what I can do.
