The United Helpers organization is pleased to welcome Kathy A. Getman and Karen Verescak to the United Helpers family,” said Rebecca W. Reynolds, Administrator, United Helpers Ogdensburg Campus. “Both bring wealth of experience and are very welcome additions to our administrative team.”
Getman is a North Country native, hailing from Redwood, NY. She received her Associate in Applied Science in Nursing from Jefferson Community College and later her Master’s in Nursing/Adult Nurse Practitioner with a focus on Geropsychiatry from the University of Southern Florida. In 2008, Getman earned her Master’s in Business Administration from Warner Southern College in Lake Wales, Florida. She joins United Helpers following employment with Oakbridge Healthcare in Lakeland, Florida; where she served as Director of Nursing Services.
“It’s a very exciting time to join the United Helpers organization,” Getman commented. “The new campus, neighborhood design, and delivery system of care are very modern and mainstream. You can really see the difference these changes make with the residents.”
Karen Verescak, originally from Chittenango, NY, joins United Helpers following employment with St. Joseph’s Nursing Home in Ogdensburg. She is a graduate of the Crouse Irving School of Nursing and possesses a strong background in geriatrics and eldercare.
“Both women bring a lot of enthusiasm and innovative ideas with them,” Reynolds added. “We are very pleased that they have both decided to join our team.”
The United Helpers Ogdensburg Campus is comprised of the United Helpers skilled nursing facility and adult residence.
