The month of April is Autism Awareness month. I am writing you tonight to ask if it would be possible for your station to do a story on Autism, it is a cause that is very close to our family
as we have an autistic grandson, as well as the many other families that deal with autism everyday. April 1st is light it up blue day to show support,it is as simple as putting a blue light bulb in your front porch light or even as simple as wearing something blue to work or school.Here in Ogdensburg my daughter has worked very hard this week with spreading the word,she has single handedly gone to some of the businesses here to ask for support for awareness and has handmade pins for symbol for autism which is a puzzle piece. It is so comforting for the families that have this disability in thier everyday lives to know and feel the support of their community.We hope you can consider this as a story worth airing.If you do think this is a story worth doing Thank YOU So Much and if you dont believe it is then Thank You for at least taking the time to read this as I have at least made one more person aware .
