Clogging instructors and students from Rhonda's FooteStompers clog team of Rhonda's FooteWorks dance studios attended the Nickel City Clog Festival in Grand Island, NY.
The festival is the largest in the world and offers classes with instructors in all areas of clogging. The dancers attended classes in country clogging, pop clogging, hip hop clogging, and kentucky blue grass clogging.
After three days of classes, Rhonda's FooteStompers were one of eight groups performing in the exhibition to celebrate the weekend.
Clogging will be one of many dance forms represented when Rhonda's FooteWorks presents demonstrations on Saturday, April 23rd as part of their National Dance Day Celebration.
The day of free, family activities begins at noon with a kickline extravaganza for dancers and non-dancers old and young. From 2-4 p.m., the studio at 89 Public Square will offer readings, arts and crafts and dance demonstrations for younger dancers and from 4-6 p.m. there will be Open Air Zumba for ages 12 and up.
