April '11 Flooding on the Raquette River

Photos and video were taken on April 29, 2011 around 7:00 p.m. at the dam in Hannawa Falls. The water usually flows quietly over the damn, but due to persistant rain, snow melt and the release of upstream water, the Raquette River in Colton, Hannawa Falls and Potsdam is now raging and causing flooding. These photos and video were taken by Peter Barstow of Potsdam.
