Outreach Company dancers from Rhonda's FooteWorks visited Samaritan Medical Center today to donate Pillow Pets to the Pediatric and Maternity wards.
The dancers collected the pillow pets in honor of Jake's Pillow Pet Project. Jakob is a 7 year old with a rare form of brain cancer whose wish is to have as many children as possible receive pillow pets while in the hospital.
Director, Rhonda Foote, stumbled across the national story a few months ago and immediately thought of this as an outreach project for the studio. "All the dancers LOVE their pillow pets, and I knew that they would understand how special it would make a child in the hospital feel to receive one. They were very excited to give the pillow pets in Jakob's name."
Rhonda's FooteWorks strives to use its talents to serve others in our communities. The studio is located in Watertown and Lowville, NY. For more information, visit www.rhondasfooteworks.com .
