UpState DanceShop welcomes Tony Bradford

Rhonda's FooteWorks is pleased to announce that Tony Bradford will be offering an UpState DanceShop workshop the weekend of September 24th at its Watertown studio at 89 Public Square.

Tony Bradford enjoys a successful career as a master teacher, choreographer and adjudicator. As a performer he has appeared in such diverse venues as Classical Ballet, Nightclubs and Broadway musicals. Tony has danced throughout the United States as well as Puerto Rico, Australia, England, Germany and Romania. He has the good fortune of having been trained by such illustrious teachers as Charles Kelley and Judy Ann Bassing. A longtime protégé of Miss Bassing’s, an international teacher and choreographer, Tony is proud to be a “Bassing Boy”. Additionally, on the college level Tony studied anatomy, physics and kinesiology and applies this knowledge to his classes. His belief is that if the dancer has a basic understanding of how the human body functions they can accelerate their progress in learning. As a Director/Choreographer Tony has staged works for Six Flags, New London Barn Playhouse, Egypt Air and was the premier choreographer for Royal Majesty Cruise Lines. Students trained by Tony have gone on to study on scholarship at The Walnut Hill School, Joffrey Ballet and Jacobs Pillow. He has also sent dancers on to perform at MacHayden, McCarter, Disney, Radio City and numerous Broadway and Ballet Companies. In 2004 Tony was chosen to sit on the judging panel of the first United States Acrobatics Championships. He has written manuals in acrobatics and dance for the private commercial dance studios. Currently Tony teaches at Roy Arias Studio in New York City and works with Jazz Roots Dance Company as well as teaching and judging for every major dance organization.
All dancers in Watertown and the surrounding communities are invited to take class with this incredible guest artist.
