In the first photo we went for a photo with Santa at the mall, but our littlest one was in such awe of Santa that she would not look at the camara! I feel like this picture captured the amazement and awe a child has for Santa. It just warms my heart looking at it!
In the second photo, my older daughter was starting to lose some of her "belief". It was the year of the much sought after Zhu Zhu pet, when it was nearly impossible to snag one. The girls knew how hard they were to find and how unlikely it was they would get one. Christmas morning mounds of presents greeted them, but no Zhu Zhu pet. Until all the presents had been cleared away and in the very back corner was two presents, in shiny wrapping paper, different from the other gifts. With a handcreated gift tag that said "Believe, From Santa". Sure enough, it was the Zhu Zhu pets. This photo captured the moment a little girl found her wonder and belief again.
And finally the third photo is the two girls during the holiday season. Putting all the material things and Santa Claus aside, when it comes down to it Christmas is about the gift of a family and the love that a family shares. For as long as you have family, no matter what your bank account says, you are rich.
