5 members of Rhonda's FooteStompers clog team from Rhonda's FooteWorks dance studios had a great experience auditioning in New York City for the show "America's Got Talent" on Monday, February 27th.
The dancers, Alexandra Davis (15, Croghan); Madison Draper (14, Croghan); Brianna Lockwood (13, Watertown); Isabelle Marsala (15, Watertown) and Bethanne Vandertang (11, Black River) traveled with Vicki Vandertang, chaperone and Director/choreographer, Rhonda Foote for the audition.
The cloggers performed their dance, "Boy From New York City" by the Manhatten Transfer for the talent agents at the open call audition.
The girls were surprised to be interviewed live for the Howard Stern radio show, and found the entire experience to be wonderful.
Rhonda Foote says, "I wasn't surprised that they were noticed. These girls are young, fresh and professional. They were personable, polite to other contestants, and just sparkled during all stages of the experience. Regardless of the outcome, I could not be prouder".
The dancers were told that they will hear whether or not they will receive a call back in "a few weeks".
Rhonda's FooteWorks is celebrating its 25th season offering quality dance education in NNY. Studios are located on the square in Watertown and in downtown Lowville. For information about Summer registration, email rfwdance@gmail.com or visit www.rhondasfooteworks.com
