Rhonda’s FooteWorks 89 Public Square, Watertown , NY will host a Partnering & Hip Hop Workshop Friday, July 12th 4:00-5:00 p.m. Partnering Workshop Age 10 & up and 5:00-6:00 p.m. Hip Hop Workshop Age 10 & up *Only $10.00 per hour and open to all local dancers. Joseph Boswell, a graduate of the performing arts high school NESA (North East School Of the performing arts) in San Antonio TX graduated with a concentration in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, and Hip-Hop. Joseph has been dancing and choreographing shows and pieces for 8 years throughout San Antonio and Seguin TX. Joseph now attends SUNY Potsdam as an Education major with a minor in Biology and Dance. Joseph is a member of the SUNY Potsdam Hip-Hop team, Team NV, and plans on one day teaching street jazz. Joey will be Instructing the Partnering Workshop. Boys and Girls may come as partners or as individuals to be matched for class. This workshop is from 4:00-5:00 pm in Studio 1. Danny Jay, Originally from Long Island, has been involved in the performing arts since high school. He began his dancing experience in his high school show choir where he was introduced to JC Lynn Dance Company a Dance Company from Long Island owned by original Rockettes. That is where Danny worked with Lloyd Culbreath. Lloyd has been involved in numerous Broadway musicals, and choreographed in the US and Japan. Through the JC Lynn Dance company Danny performed for Legendary Broadway star, Chita Rivera. Danny was the lead choreographer for the Broadway Musical Theater summer program at the JC Lynn Dance Company for the summer of 2009-2011. Danny attended the State University of New York at Potsdam and created the Hip-Hop team on the Potsdam campus, Team NV. The group has been established since the start in 2006 and continues to perform. Hip-Hop is one of Danny’s strong points and has choreographed pieces and workshops In NYC, Long Island, and in Potsdam. Danny Is a special Education teacher for St. Lawrence Lewis BOCES and works with students under the Autism Spectrum Disorder. Danny takes pride in his performance background and incorporates it to his teaching whenever possible. Danny will be teaching the Hip Hop workshop from 5:00-6:00 pm in studio 1.
