David Gay, who ran for U.S. Congress as a Republican and Libertarian in 2008, is considering running for office again in 2009.
Even though he knew he wasn't going to win, and eventually was denied ballot access, Gay considers his 2008 experience a success, and a good starting point for running again.
"I got to see what it was like to run for office, I was endorsed by Texas Congressman Ron Paul, I received donations from individuals in 43 different States, and I was able to spread my message of peace, freedom, and prosperity to so many people who hadn't heard it before!" Gay said of his first bid.
This time, Gay plans to start smaller by running for Onondaga County Legislature or Syracuse City Council.
"I'll let everyone know what my plans are pretty soon. Maybe in the next week, so keep watching!"
