Clinton School's 5th graders returned to LutheranCare on Thursday, February 12th. Mrs. Palladino's class was very talkative and polite with the residents from LutheranCare assisting and reading to them during our Valentine's Day "Love Poem Craft".
The students sat at tables paired up with residents while they creatively worked on their Valentines by coloring, gluing and glittering!
Pictured are resident Verna Picciano with students Kendell Myers and Billy Williams. At another table were residents Ray Humann and Stella Labarge and students Ryan Garbry and Mikel Quintana. Next to them sat TR Leader Summer Thomson explaining and assisting resident Sylvia Tennant and students Morgan Evans, and Miranda Riley with their art work.
Afterwards, they visited together and shared Valentine's cookies and punch. When they were finished, residents and students chose to take their completed masterpieces with them, or hung them on the windows of LutheranCare's Community Room for the residents and their families to enjoy at the popular 2009 Sweetheart Luncheon and Fashion Show on Friday, February 13th.
Clinton School plans to return with another class of 5th Graders in March, and the Art Club, and LutheranCare's residents and staff can't wait to see them!
