The first meeting of the Methodists was held by one of the circuit riders in this area. Later meetings were held in a log house in the vicinity. Our first minister, Rev. C. V. Wood, was appointed in 1891. Our church, itself, celebrated 100 years in 2008. The Pastor here today is Frederica Webb, better known as "Freddie".
Our Sunday service begins at 8:30 a.m. As a summer church, we open on Palm Sunday and continue on until late October.
We invite everyone to attend and enjoy the fellowship and community of our congregation, sharing our love of God and our beautiful church together. Our congregation is made up of long-time members, and people from various denominations who all seek to worship the same God. We have permanent residents and summer residents and we enjoy our worship in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
We also enjoy covered dish dinners, bake sales and other activities within our group.
