Dad and Johnathan enjoying a view at the edge of the Grande Canyon

Dad shares his dream with son

My husband has wanted to do two things, go to Australia and the Grand Canyon. Mike, my husband, has been battling a kidney disease that he was born with. In 1997 he recieved a kidney transplant but in 2000 the same kidney that saved his life now threatened to take it. Mike began a battle to take back his health. In 2004 he decided that Autralia might be a bit out of his reach but the Grand Canyon was here in this country. So we started planning our trip out west. Mike and our son Johnathan had had many conversation on how the Canyon was formed and how he wanted to go there. The pictures included show a moment that they shared on the rim of the Canyon. Kidney desease is more serious that some like to think and you never know ,from day to day sometimes, what the next morning will bring. We thank God for the progress the medical community has made and how much easier life is for recepients now.

My husband is a wonderful person and my best friend. It's not so much the prize of dinner out ( we have learned to not wait and to enjoy each day) but to let people know just how wonderful Mike is and what a great Dad he is!!!

Thank you for your time.

I love you Dad!! I think about all the adversity you have had to deal with in my life time and how gracefully you have taken it! You are such a helpful part of our lives, always giving without asking much in return, just a smile..a hug..and our love
