The wonder is that Merlin is still alive. Getting to be four years old was a battle. Merlin is a rescue Rat Terrier. He weighed only 5 lbs when he came to us from the vet, where he was in care for months. He could hardly walk and was all bones, but he still wanted to play ball.Last year he was hit by a car and is partially blind in one eye and deaf on one side. Still he plays ball and enjoys playing in the tub for hours. He also had his belly burned by ashes from the wood stove damper when the pipe blew off. He is a wonder. His tenacious will to live and his love and loyalty helped me get through a fight with cancer last year. He brings joy to everyone he meets. To see him now, you would never believe the hard life he suffered through. Play ball with him and he will be your friend for life
