In Motion Celebrates 10 Years!

In Motion School of Dance, located on outer Arsenal St., is celebrating its 10th season of dance. An Open House is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 12 10-1 p.m. This will be an opportunity for interested families to visit the facility and register for fall classes.

The studio offers varying styles of dance classes to students ages 3-adult. Structured pre-school classes are currently offered after school hours. Beginning in October, however, a day time session of classes will be found on the schedule for the first time on Wednesday mornings. A workshop for couples interested in ballroom dance will begin on October 2. Registrations are accepted until Nov. 1

In Motion will be holding auditions for currently enrolled and interested dancers on Sept. 26 for their winter production of The Nutcracker. The holiday favorite will be held on Saturday, Dec. 19 at the State Office Building. A spring recital featuring all dancers will take place in the auditorium on Saturday, May 29.

Shereen Daly, owner, is excited about the progress that In Motion has made in its 10 years. The dance school has expanded from a small studio with one teacher and 40 students to an expanded facility, several part time teachers, and 150 students enrolled in over 225 class spaces. The current facility on Rt. 3 features a waiting room with a camera system for parents to view classes, 2 spacious studios and an adequate parking area. Classes begin Monday, Sept. 14, 2009!
