Sunshine Dental, PC, welcomes patients of all ages from toddlers to seniors, to their private, professional dental practice. In addition to offering complete family dental care, they also provide hard to find specialized services, which many people would typically have to go out of the area for. The goal of Sunshine Dental, PC is to change the way their patients perceive dentistry, through state of the art services and treatment, while reducing a patient’s anxiety about going to the dentist.Specialized services offered by Sunshine Dental include: implants, extractions, crowns and bridges, dentures (full and partial), one-visit tooth repair, one-visit root canals, one-hour teeth whitening, and a growing array of cosmetic dentistry. The increased offering of specialty services has patients traveling from communities such as Carthage, Lowville, Philadelphia, Evans Mills, etc…and from as far away as Malone, Massena, Potsdam and Canada.
The practice is owned and operated by Dr. Aeklavya Panjali, D.D.S. A graduate of New York University’s College of Dentistry, Dr. Panjali has over 15 years of experience. He is certified in Sedation Dentistry, Lumineers, Invisalign, Orthodontics, and Advanced Training in Dental Implants. Licensed in New York State and Pennsylvania, Dr. Panjali has received numerous awards, presented lectures nationally and internationally, and has been published in professional dental publications. Dr. Panjali is an Ex – Honorary Chairman of Business Advisory Council of NRCC and also has received an award for "Businessman of the Year", March 2006. Dr. Panjali is the Course Director for the New York Implant Institute ( www.nyimplantinstitute.com ).
Dr. Panjali is a Fellow and Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI).
Diplomate status is the is the highest credential awarded by ICOI. Less than 2% of dentists in United States and Canada combined and less than 1,000 dentists worldwide have achieved this level of distinction.
Dr. Panjali is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry.
According to the Academy of General Dentistry, a general dentist who is a "Fellow" (FAGD) has been recognized by other general dentists as a leader and an example to other dentists of the importance of quality continuing dental education to patient care. Fellows have accepted the charge to keep abreast of advances in dentistry for the benefit of patients and the betterment of dentistry. They serve as mentors and leaders to other dentists pursuing continuing dental education. They set examples in their communities with their hard work, concern and involvement. Only 7% of dentists in the United States and Canada have achieved this award.
In September of 2004 Sunshine Dental, PC opened its doors in Watertown. Since then, the North Country has been more than receptive and supportive of our practice. We believe in giving back to the community, especially the youth of the community, and do so throughout the year.
The Fifth Annual National Children’s Dental Health Month Contest recently concluded with its annual awards ceremony. The awards reception was held at the Ramada Inn, Watertown. Over 130 people were present for the ceremony; including the top three winners from each school, the grand prize winners of the contest, along with their parents and family members, teachers, principals, school nurses, and the staff of Sunshine Dental, PC.
The annual contest, sponsored each year by Sunshine Dental, PC, is held in conjunction with the American Dental Associations celebration of National Children’s Dental Health Month. All students who participated in the contest received a participation certificate. Gift Certificates from Borders were given to the top three students in each category, from each of the individual participating schools. In total, 37 local students received prizes for their participation in the contest.
The Annual Sunshine Dental “Good Deeds” Contest is held by Dr. Panjali of Sunshine Dental, PC in the fall to honor the youth of our area for their acts of kindness, leading exemplary lives and doing “Good Deeds” that make a difference for others. . . without looking for recognition from others.
