Keep your eyes open between now and December 5th for a flock of fuchsia flamingoes which is flying around Ogdensburg. The colorful quintuplets are advertising Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center Auxiliary’s Festival of the Trees, which will be held at the New York State Armory on December 5, 2009.
A committee chaired by Patty Bell accepted donations from friends of the Auxiliary to have the flamingoes arrive on their own lawn or have them arrive unexpectedly on the lawn of a friend. They remain for 24 hours before they continue on their journey. Will you be one of the lucky households to be “flocked” with the flamingoes? Join in the fun of watching where they’ll appear next before their arrival at the New York State Armory on December 5th.
