My Mom and Dad were both very ill this past year. My Dad with a tumor which destroyed bone and tissue (B cell lymphoma) and my Mom with a melanoma on her lung. Early on we were told Dad was terminal. He barely made it through radiation and chemo. At this same time Mom had a pacemaker inplant and complications after her lung surgery. Mom was put on life support 3 times and each time for many days. She lost the ability to swallow and move. She was determined to be dying and we moved her to hospice. Dad was by her side everyday no matter how sick/weak he felt. Despite the doctors thoughts neither of my parents were ready to go. They suffered but they fought back and after rehab they are both home and doing well. Each day we prayed for please let them get better and come home for even a little while. My family is truly thankful for the blessing we have been given.
