Approximately 25 children participated in the Carthage Middle School Spelling Bee Wednesday evening in grades 6-8. Anthony Talcott & Emily Champion placed in 1st and 2nd respectfully and Jessica Wilson came in 3rd. All received a gift certificate to the mall for placing and Anthony & Emily will move on to participate in the Regional Bee at General Brown school on March 16th. Congratulations to all the students who participated - it was a challenging and exciting evening of spelling!
