The Indian River Varsity Cheerleaders won the New York State Class A/AA Small Varsity title on Saturday, February 26th at the Utica Memorial Auditorium. The team progressed to 4-0 this season with this victory after also winning the Frontier League Class A and Section III Class A titles as well as the West Genesee Sweet Heart Classic Small Varsity division. Team members include Seniors Madison Wilcox, Atashae Gore and Jane Bray. Underclassmen include Harlee Tanner, Makesha Doe, Tori Clyde, BreAnna Wright, Elizabeth Hillard, Brenna Chisamore and Rebecca Butler. This is Indian River's first team state title. The team would like to thank their parents and the Indian River administrators, teachers and community for their support this season.
