Their collegiate athletic careers ended sooner than they would have liked, but Clarkson University Hockey seniors Matt Beca and Tim Marks are continuing to pursue their love of the sport, having recently signed contracts to play in the American Hockey League.
Marks signed an Amateur Tryout Contract (ATO) with the Norfolk Admirals on March 11. Through eight games (as of March 28), Marks recorded two assists with the Admirals.
Beca signed an ATO with the Springfield Falcons on March 23. Beca had played in two games (as of March 28) since joining Springfield.
Marks (25), is a 6-foot-2, 217-pound forward from Brownville, NY. In 35 games for Clarkson this past season, he posted five goals and four assists with 70 penalty minutes. In his 141-game collegiate career, Marks posted 14 goals and 22 assists with 164 penalty minutes. 14

The Golden Knights’ leading scorer, Beca (24) is a 5-10, 181-pound forward from Mississauga, ONT. He scored 38 points, including 20 goals through 37 games of his senior campaign, and amassed 51 goals and 72 assists for 123 points in 149 career games.
