The season is only a week old and freshman Alyssa Cristaldi (North Syracuse, NY) is already making waves for the Clarkson University Women's Lacrosse team in the Liberty League as the first-year attacker was named Liberty League Offensive Performer of the Week.
Cristaldi, who shared the honor with a player from Vassar, scored 21 goals and six assists for 27 points, leading the Golden Knights to a 4-0 record, the best start in the program's 32-year history. She started off her career in style with eight goals against Keene State, just one goal shy of tying the single-game record at Clarkson. She also added three goals against Fredonia, four goals against Potsdam State, and five goals against Elmira College.
Cristaldi leads the Liberty League in goals (21), game-winning goals (2), and points (27), while ranking second in assists (6), draw controls (11), and caused turnovers (6). She is already just one goal shy of tying the freshman record for goals in a season (22) at Clarkson.
