After a 33-save effort over two games last week, Ryan Cole (Orchard Park, NY) of the Clarkson University Men's Lacrosse team earned a Liberty League Rookie of the Week nod on Monday.
Cole, who shared the honor with another player from St. Lawrence, posted a .673 save percentage in a pair of league contests. Against St. Lawrence, Cole made 19 saves and allowed only seven goals as the Golden Knights picked up a key conference victory over the Saints. On Saturday against Hamilton, Cole made 14 saves and allowed nine goals in a tough loss to the Continentals.
Cole ranks fifth in the conference in save percentage and is fourth in the league in saves per game. Clarkson has two regular season games remaining in the season, visiting Union College this weekend before closing out the conference slate at home against Skidmore College.
