Junior Chris Falteisek (Baldwinsville, NY) of the Clarkson University Baseball team batted .556 over the weekend against conference leader Rochester and was named Liberty League Performer of the Week on Monday.
Falteisek, who shared the honor with a player from Rensselaer, went 5-for-9 and scored a pair of runs over the course of three games against Rochester. He also walked twice for a .636 on-base percentage and scored a pair of runs.
For the season, the junior outfielder ended the week batting .379, good enough for 11th in the league among hitters with at least 60 plate appearances. He has also added a home run and 14 runs driven in over the course of 21 games.
