Local's New Zealand Film Needs Your Help

WELLINGTON, NEW ZEALAND - Johanna Besaw, raised in Adams, NY and now residing in New Zealand, needs your help in winning the V48hours 2010 Online Popularity Award!

Johanna and partner Francesca Jago entered the New Zealand V48hour Furious Filmmaking contest for the first time this year as Team Loaded Gunn. Click the following link to watch their film. The team with the most online views by May 31 wins a fantastic prize.

What exactly is a 48-hour film contest you say? Teams show up on a Friday evening at the designated start/finish location and are given a genre, required prop, line of dialogue, character and filming technique. They then have exactly 48 hours to write, shoot, edit, score and hand in their 1-7 minute film. This year, 650 teams qualified for the contest throughout New Zealand.

Not expecting much in way of prizes their first year in the competition, Team Loaded Gunn garnered four regional nominations, winning three of their categories (Best All Chick Team, Best Female Director, Best Dolly Zoom). Francesca Jago went on to pick up a win at the National finals for Best Female Director.

This film was excellent! I loved it. The Quality of the workmanship was "top Notch". It really had a lot of content for a 7 minute film. Great job Ladies, and congrats on winning the 3 local categories and Fran-Best over all female film producer!
