My husband, Dirk, is a volunteer firefighter with the Belleville Fire Department. Early this spring a man fell thru the ice. My husband risked his life to crawl out onto the unsafe ice to save this mans life. He was able to reach the man & with the help of the rest of the volunteers from Belleville, this man was pulled to the safety of shore. Without the response from my husband, Dirk & the rest of the volunteers, this man would not have survived.
